Rubin is a member of the Shautal tribe. He lives in a village about two hours outside Kolkata. He doesn’t know his exact age but guesses that he’s in his 70s. With no schooling, his life has been spent doing farm work. Rubin was not completely pleased with the first Instax photo we took of him because we didn’t include his rooster. We tried again and got it right this time.
